Hailing from the sweet Toronto music scene, Esthero's debut single "Breath from Another" features remixes from DJ Krust, Talvin Singh, Shug, & the new 'big beat' remix by Charlie Clauser (Nine Inch Nails) All compliment the wicked diversity of beats represented on the original cut. The album travels through a multi-rhythmic world of grooves. Doc is the master behind the beats bringing the vocal brillance of Esthero to life. The credits of all collaborators including Abacus, reads like a who's who in the sub-terranian sea of the Toronto underground club scene. Esthero's "Breath from Another" exemplifys a musical community where 'urban music' means a jumbled blur of hiphop, triphop, acid jazz, r&b, reggae and ska. They have ripped the lid off a Pandora's box and loosed a truly "new music" on the world. ENJOY... UPDATE- November '98!! The new fabulous 'must see' movie SLAM features "The World I Know" (Country Livin' version) with Goodie Mob & Esthero on the soundtrack. It's been a favorite on the Liquid Sound Lounge radio show. Esthero tore the roof off Irving Plaza Thurs. Nov. 5th, during the CMJ Music Festival in New York City. Also, Faithless, Hooverphonic & Paul Okenfold performed & DJ Liquid Todd worked his magical turntable skills. |
